The Guidance for Applicants document provides detailed information about the HNES application process from start to finish. It explains how the scheme operates, the eligibility criteria, how applications are to be made and how they will be scored and assessed.
We strongly recommend that applicants read the Guidance document before applying.
Attend an Application Seminar
We host an Application Seminar for each round of HNES and encourage applicants to attend. In the seminar, we explain what HNES is, what is expected from an application, walk you through the online portal, and cover the application forms and assessment process. You also have the opportunity to ask us questions in the Q&A.

Express your Interest
To apply for funding, you must register an Expression of Interest (EoI) by contacting hnes@talan.com. In this email, please include the project information specified on page 29 in the Guidance Document.
Once your EoI has been reviewed, you will be given access to the HNES online portal. Here, you must complete an online application form for either capital or revenue grant funding, as detailed in your EoI request.
